Head to the Palazzo to See the Jersey Boys

jerseyboysIsaacBrekkensmall Head to the Palazzo to See the Jersey Boys

The Jersey Boys in Las Vegas is a tough ticket to get but the show is consistently ranked among the best. A good story, a talented cast and the familiar sounds of a generation that set the tone for entertainment for plenty of years since. If you seek a real Broadway show Jersey Boys at the Palazzo Resort in Las Vegas should do it for you.

Entertainment at the Palazzo Resort Las Vegas is fueled by the ever popular, Broadway hit, Jersey Boys, as well the shows at its sister property, The Venetian, The Blue Man Group and Phantom, The Las Vegas Spectacular.

Three shows in one place means you’ll never leave the hotel especially since food options at the Venetian and the Palazzo are so extraordinary. Add in the Canyon Ranch Spa, a little drinking and dancing at TAO and LAVO and you are set for a Las Vegas Vacation.

Get Ready For Kaskade Sundays at Encore Beach Club

encorebeach5 Get Ready For Kaskade Sundays at Encore Beach Club

It’s Kaskade Sundays at Encore Beach Club. Checking out Richard Thomas’ interview with DJ Kaskade got me thinking about the transformation of the Las Vegas pool scene into a party atmosphere that blends the aspects of the European hotspots with the Las Vegas magic and frankly I wanted to pour a drink and get the entire thing started right now. Luckily for me it’s Kaskade Sundays at Encore Beach Club.

Encore Beach Club is open, with the plush atmosphere that you expect from the Wynn resorts transferred to the all new pool. Daybeds, bungalows and great music compliment the three pools and lush landscape redefining the Las Vegas pool scene.

Check out some pictures of Encore Beach Club at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

Encore Las Vegas is all about luxury and the hotel is where you want to be at if you want a pampering Las Vegas experience. Great food, large rooms and luxury atmosphere are all a given at Encore Las Vegas.

The L’Unique Menu at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon

latelierrobuch The LUnique Menu at LAtelier de Joel Robuchon

You really want to sample some of the finest cuisine Las Vegas has to offer but you are hampered by the tiny budget you seem to have every time you visit Las Vegas, right? What you need is L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. You’ll not only be fascinated by the magic of the flavors, you’ll be impressed with the preparation and you’ll be shocked by the price when you try the L’Unique menu.

L’Atelier is consistently great, no matter when I stop in the service, the food, the atmosphere is all exactly how it should be, perfect! If you do one meal in Las Vegas, this is the place you should consider.

The L’Unique menu at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon is precisely what we need. Some decisions are made for us and we pay a small price. A three course meal that will give you a clear picture of what exactly it is you’ve been missing when it comes to fine dining. The menu changes weekly but you’ll be sure to get some exceptional choices.

Possible appetizers might include:

  • Le Crabe Royal – King crab on top of a spicy semolina salad
  • La Dorade – Snapper tartar layered with crispy potatoes
  • L’Avocat – Avocado guacamole with white asparagus and tomato coulis

Possible main dish might be:

  • L’Osso Bucco – Braised veal shank and mashed potato
  • Le Boeuf – Beef carpaccio with arugula and shave parmessan
  • Le Fletan – Halibut seared with curry oil, fennel cream

Possible Desserts:

  • Le Chocolat – Coffee brule’e and chocolate rice souffle’
  • Le Beignet – Beignet filled with a rasberry coulis
  • Le Crumble – Berry crumble

I list the possibilities and my mouth waters at the thought of sitting at the counter and watching as my food is prepared and enjoying the sights, sounds and aromas of the busy kitchen. Do yourself a favor and walk in and live a little at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

Hungry? Try BOA Las Vegas For Lunch.

BOAburgersmall Hungry? Try BOA Las Vegas For Lunch.

Yes, I love to eat, Yes, I will pay more than I should for a meal. Yes, I think it is okay to pay $14 for a burger. There, I said it, no you can too. While the burger at BOA Steakhouse in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is very good, you should have your eyes set on the Goat Cheese Baklava. I’m not a fan of goat cheese and but I can easily put down a couple of these flaky, sweet appetizers. BOA Las Vegas has a new lunch menu that also has a wickedly good smoked Kobe Beef Brisket Sandwich and some Surf and Turf Tacos that go well with a beer in the middle of the day.

You can have a steak for lunch as well but if you are thinking of going with a 40 Day Dry Aged New York Strip make a reservation for dinner and nestle yourself in for a nice long meal with a bottle of wine. Why not get romantic and work on a few sweet things to say to your partner as you share an Onion Brick or the Mac N Cheese. How can anyone say that sharing food is not the epitome of romance?

Visit Zion National Park From Las Vegas

zionroad 1 Visit Zion National Park From Las Vegas

A quick two and a half hour ride away from Las Vegas is Zion National Park in Southern Utah. If you are thinking about a fabulous way to spend a day away from the action of the Las Vegas strip, Zion National Park is a great choice. Sandstone cliffs welcome you in the valley and slick rock sandstone formations will awe you in the higher elevations of the National Park.

Make sure to have your cameras ready and your hiking shoes packed as the beauty of Zion National Park is best viewed from the hikes that afford you a better look at the valley floor from high above.

Looking for more day trips from Las Vegas? There is so much to see in Southern Nevada and the surrounding states you’ll be amazed at just how easy it is to do a day trip from Las Vegas to a picturesque location in the southwest.

Pour Me A Couple It’s National Tequila Day in Las Vegas

tequilaDosCaminossmall Pour Me A Couple Its National Tequila Day in Las Vegas

It’s Tequila Tuesday! Well, not really although you can call it anything you want if you are enjoying a few shots or just sipping some tequila. However, National Tequila Day is Saturday, July 24th, so you might as well get yourself prepared.

Dos Caminos at the Palazzo Las Vegas is getting into the spirit and they are offering a special tasting menu paired with some fine tequila. July 20th through July 24th you can treat yourself to a tequila paired menu and gain a little knowledge about the Mexican candy from the knowledgeable staff at Dos Caminos.  Ceviche with tequila, New York Steak with tequila and don’t forget the guacamole and chips with even more tequila.

I’ll be at Dos Caminos at the Palazzo Resort, because realistically, tequila and Dos Caminos guacamole pretty much means a few hours in a euphoric trance, I can’t pass that up. The Prix Fixe Menu is $42 and the Tequila Paring is $39.
